Techie Hour has always been the concerted effort of engineers/science researchers with advanced technical degrees. But, person who has done the management and founded event has been doing corporate sponsorship for an MIT software panel, working on web server log records/maintaining two websites, and created an industry group of Fortune500 firms for those with advanced degrees in science- engineering. (RSVP data has been used as basis for content in White papers; as they will no longer be produced, this information will not be collected). A co-founder is now in Beijing getting proficient in Mandarin, and another co-founder is in Sydney working on mobile electronix. A team member is in Nigeria building countrywide cellular systems, one is building Smithsonian museums & office skyscrapers in Washington, D.C.; and an ORIE is busy on Homeland Security IT work.
